Ben works on environmental stressors in the Great Lakes. He is focused on the quantitative models used in the Tipping Point Planner program, including stream health, nutrients, and land use change. He has also worked with IISG to conduct outreach activities related to contaminated sediment remediation and aquatic invasive species.
Ben earned a Master's degree in Conservation Biology from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Water Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Previously, Ben worked for Southwest Badger in Wisconsin to educate water users, students, and rural landowners about aquatic invasive species and help to control existing populations of aquatic invaders.
