Climate Extension Specialist
Veronica provides science-based communication to stakeholders and communities on issues related to climate and climate change. She works with other climate service entities that focus on topics like extreme weather and climate change, developing publications and tools explaining complex issues in comprehensible ways to help people understand that climate information is useful and necessary.
Veronica earned her B.S. in Meteorology from Valparaiso University and then completed a one-year fellowship in Germany through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program for Young Professionals. She then earned an M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and a Professional Science Master’s degree in Climate Change and Society from North Carolina State University.
