Haider works to enhance, implement, and evaluate environmental education programming that supports Great Lakes Areas of Concern, workforce development, accessibility, pollution prevention, Great Lakes literacy and the mission of Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant (IISG) and University of Illinois Extension. As a Post-baccalaureate Fellow, Haider will work for 1 year under the mentorship of three IISG specialists: Patrice Charlebois, Megan Gunn, and Sarah Zack. He will spend 4 months under each mentor working on projects focused on those subject areas.

Haider has a B.S. in Biology and Minor in Geographic Information Science from Northeastern Illinois University. He brings skills developed from his undergraduate experiences in scientific communication, spatial ecology research, fieldwork, and peer education.
