Laura Esman is the research and reporting coordinator for Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant at Purdue University. In this role, she is responsible for supporting critical research needs in the southern Lake Michigan region by developing requests for proposals, leading the review and selection of quality research projects, and managing the annual reporting cycle to share the important science generated with funding agencies and the public.
 
Laura came to IISG from the Indiana Water Resources Research Center and the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at Purdue University, where she focused on grant administration and research coordination. Laura received her BA in Biology from Albion College and a master’s degree in environmental toxicology from Clemson University.
