Ben Szczygiel is the buoy specialist working to maintain several buoys in Lake Michigan. He is involved with the improvement and promotion of the buoy program, including outreach to boaters and anglers.

Ben received both a B.S. and M.A. degree in Biology with a concentration in Aquatic Ecology from SUNY Buffalo State as well as a B.S. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Toronto.
