Haider promotes water conservation and sustainability across the northwest water planning region in Illinois by supporting education, outreach, and community engagement. He works with the Northwest Water Planning Alliance (NWPA) to connect communities with water supply updates and resources, as well as help deliver conservation programs and tools to local municipalities. He also supports environmental education efforts that advance Great Lakes literacy and the mission of Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant (IISG) and University of Illinois Extension.

Haider has a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Geographic Information Science from Northeastern Illinois University.
