Since the early 1990s, the IISG research program has grappled with critical issues related to southern Lake Michigan's coastal resources. Our outreach and education programs (links) depend heavily on the research we fund to provide the latest scientific information to a variety of audiences.

Dip into the four big projects funded by IISG in the 2106-2017 biennium.

To search for projects, click on the relevant topics below. Within each topic area, we have included current and recent research as well as a link to our archives. If you wish to see our research-in-a-glance, we offer a PDF of IISG research projects starting with 1993.

IISG is providing a list of all peer reviewed publications that have resulted from IISG funded research and our specilaists. To obtain abstracts and, where available, full papers, visit the National Sea Grant Library.
